You know them the minute you see them. They’re complex, technical, industrial-looking, atomic powered, unlicensed and... Mostly plastic. Gee, they sure do look nifty, don’t they? They’re the tools of the trade for the contemporary Ghostbuster. |

The core component of the trade. Ghosts fear it, men of action need it, and the EPA wants to regulate it. It’s unlicensed, it’s nuclear, and in the wrong hands could make every molecule in your body explode at the speed of light. It’s the proton pack. Originally a “rush-build” in June-July 2003, these were carefully rebuilt between July 2003 and Oct 2004 until they were as close to perfect as possible. |

There’s no point having packs if you don’t have a trap. We here at WestCoast Busters keep plenty on hand to assist in the elimination of spectral infestations. Once a spirit is temporarily contained by a positronic stream, the pests can be carefully moved into the range of a trap and contained in an electronic stasis field. Once back to the office we simply purge each trap of it’s contents by confining it into a protection grid and voila! The light is green; the trap is clean. |

The ecto goggles are modified Infrared image enhancers. Some ghosts aren’t tangible enough to leave a visual pattern for the naked eye, while others are nothing more than the common “light orbs” most modern ghost hunters locate. Using a unique video input filtration system, these goggles are able to enhance light patterns left by less visible apparitions. Dr. Stantz is still trying to see if he can make them see through clothing. Good luck Ray. |

All too often the tools get the credit and the mind behind them goes unnoticed. It’s not like these devices can be used by just anyone. Every Ghostbuster has the responsibility to know their own equipment inside-out and do field emergency repairs if necessary. Even more unique is the ability for each franchise to innovate and create their own solutions to tomorrow’s problems. |

Here at WestCoastBusters ( aka—”Muppet Labs” ) we’re constantly working to develop future technology to benefit the paranormal defense of tomorrow. Some newer tools include equipment that can reduce the viscosity of negatively charged Ectons, sensors that can track the movement patterns of Repeating Phantasms, and a particle core destabilizer that seems to turn cinder blocks into warm goo. Of course, we only refer to that last device as “the incident” and while Ray’s eyebrows have grown back, the lab mice were never found. Sorry PETA. |
