ECTO-1

Originally we used a grey 1992 Toyota 4Runner ( “The Money Pit” ) until replaced by a 2001 Chevy Blazer.  Both used the ECTO-1 license plate in the hopes that someday we might have a real Cadillac ambulance and now, it looks like that just might happen.  ...so be good, for goodness sake!  Whoooaooo, somebody’s coming!  Soooomebody’s coming to toooown!

First day with the new plate.  Roman numeral “I” replaces the “1”.

And the upper sunroof rack.  RIP poor Toyota 4Runner.

The replacement ECTO in the firehouse garage.

No stretcher?  Make one out of wood and server rack rails.

Slides right out and supports the weight.

The racks hinge forward to squeeze in 3 to 4 packs.

The pack rack as seated in the back.

Here it is with 3 packs and room for a 4th once in the truck.

The old Ecto’s dashboard in all it’s glowly goodness.

An alternate plan for a movie ECTO, and my personal favorite.
